SIGNED: St. Peter's Prep Quarterback Johnathan Lewis is a Rutgers Scarlet Knight

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep quarterback signs as New Jersey's top passer to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Projected Position – Quarterback

From His Words – “Coach Ash's vision is a great one. He's changed so many things at Rutgers already in the short amount of time. If he can do that in a short amount of time, imagine when I'm a freshman. Rutgers is a great fit for me, especially the offense they run.”

Scouting the Scarlet Knight – “The Rutgers quarterback situation is in dire need of change, and that was a big selling point in landing Lewis. He will have an opportunity to start from day one because Rutgers' situation at the position has been, at best, in flux throughout coach Chris Ash's first season. The Scarlet Knights have used four quarterbacks, and have had little to no success. Lewis also gives the Scarlet Knights a player who fits the offensive system well. He is a dual threat and he can run the read option. He is a physical runner with a strong arm.” – Scout National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn.
