SIGNED: Cedar Creek Center Owen Bowles is a Rutgers Scarlet Knight

Cedar Creek center Owen Bowles signed as a Rutgers Scarlet Knight

Projected Position – Center

From His Words – “I've been talking to coaches all the time and I love that. I love what they're doing. I love the direction of the program. … Me and [offensive line coach AJ Blazek] are like family. It's always big hugs whenever I see him. He's a great dude. He's one of the bigger reasons why I chose Rutgers. I felt at home every time I talked to him and every time I went up there. He made me feel like Rutgers is home, and that's what I wanted in a school.”

Scouting the Scarlet Knight – “Bowles will bring toughness and athleticism to the center position. He spent much of his high school career as a defensive tackle prospect, but his willingness to play offensive line in college changed his recruitment. He is smart, moves well and he could play early in his career as Rutgers looks to make over an offensive line that lacks true centers. He could see the field in 2017, but if not there, he will be ready by 2018.” – Scout National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn.
