Top Pa WR waiting on Rutgers call

Terry Grossetti, WR, FS, 6-4, 190, 4.5, Shenango HS, New Castle, Pa

Pennsylvania always has more than its share of great players. In the midst of all this talent sometimes a gem can be missed. Terry Grossetti's Shenango team dominates his league and Terry often ends up sitting half the game. That can limit the exposure of a real star. However, last year in the playoffs Terry shone. In his first playoff game against Waynesburg he scored three touchdowns to lead his team to victory. That set up a showdown against perennial power Aliquippa. Matched up against one of the top cornerbacks in Pennsylvania (Darelle Revis) Terry came through with another stellar three touchdown performance. Penn State took notice and others are slowly catching on to this top prospect.

Offers and interest

"I don't have any offers as of yet. I am being recruited by Penn State, Iowa, Virginia, NC State, North Carolina, Bowling Green."

Favorites

"I don't really have any favorite as of yet."

Notes

On what he brings to a team:

"I am always pumped up for the game. I don't miss a pass all game long. We don't throw a lot but I do the most with the passes that I get. We have a very good team and we are often out ahead early and I sit most of the second half. Because of that I don't get a lot of exposure until the playoffs. In the playoffs I have done very well. Last year I scored three touchdowns against Aliquippa. I had three touchdowns against Waynesburg."

On summer camps:

"I went to a camp at New Castle High School with a lot of big time coaches from Kansas, Temple and Miami. I did very well there."

On Rutgers:

" If they recruited me I'd definitely be interested."

What types of things will influence your decision.

"I just want to know the coaches and know that there will be good players who will make me work harder."

Last Season Honors

"I was All Section and All League."

Last Season's Statistics

"I had 32 catches for 450 yards and 9 touchdowns."

Terry has a vertical leap of 38 inches.  He also ran the shuttle run in a 3.9. He is being recruited as a basketball player as well as a football player. He also runs track.
