Army Looks Ahead Towards Rutgers
One of the oldest rivalries
in all of college football is revisited on Saturday when Army hosts Rutgers in
the latest edition of a series that dates all the way back to 1891. Both teams
are coming off of losses after Rutgers fell at Michigan State (44-28) and Army
dropped its season opener to Connecticut (48-21) on Saturday. The Black Knights
could muster little offensively in their first 30 minutes of action a week ago,
managing just four first downs and 57 total yards in the first half. By
contrast, Connecticut broke from the gate quickly as standout QB Dan Orlovsky
threw for 306 yards and four touchdowns in the first two quarters as the Huskies
bolted to a commanding 34-0 halftime cushion.

The Scarlet Knights, under
the tutelage of third-year coach Gary Waters, will look to blend four talented
newcomers with seven seasoned veterans in 2003-04. Rutgers features one of the
most versatile players in the BIG EAST in 6-10 senior forward Herve Lamizana, a
multi-skilled native of the Ivory Coast of Africa who can play both small
forward and power forward. One of the top shot-blockers in Rutgers history and
the team's leading returning rebounder, Lamizana can also face the basket
offensively, hit the three-point shot as well as penetrate to the basket.

I keep receiving angry emails from fans asking why I renewed the their yearly subscription since Mike and the Big Dog's will be ending operations on May 1, 2004.
The fact is that I haven't renewed anyone's subscription. Fans have just failed to cancel their subscriptions.
When fans sign up they get a notice that subscriptions automatically renew at the end of their term unless they are cancelled.
Once again, subscriptions are automatically renewed unless cancelled. We have deliberately given fans more than a year's notice of the site's departure so that they could cancel if they so wished. However, we can't cancel the subscription for you.
If you wish to cancel or not renew, go to "My Account" and log in.
Then go to "My Subscriptions" and take the necessary actions to cancel or non renew.
