Offers coming in for NJ QB

Philip Anderson, QB, 6-1, 188, 4.78, Plainfield HS

Offer Update

"I think that Tulane is about to offer. I got a call from Coach Jones. He told me that if I pass for 800 and have 12 touchdown passes that they would sign me. I got an offer from Morgan State, from Delaware State and I think that Colgate is going to offer me. I am getting hand written notes and I have an unofficial set up there. I am talking to Georgetown a lot too."

"I am wide open."

On Rutgers

"I really like Rutgers. I really do. I am almost sure that if I don't get a school that I am comfortable with I'll walk on to Rutgers."

This season

"We just lost but I had a pretty good game. I was 9 for 18 and had a 50 yard run and a 30 yard run. I threw for a 109 yards. As far as the loss is concerned I think we had some pre game jitters. We'll be okay."

Phil had a great showing at the Penn State camp this summer.

"I was measured at 6-0, 180. I ran the shuttle at 4.09 and the forty and 4.7 (at PSU). I did 14 reps at the bench at 185.
I won the accuracy contest in my group. I was getting compliments for accuracy and mechanics. I got two offers recently. New Hampshire and Delaware State. Tulane has called my coach and they are going to come and take a look at me. West Virginia and Wake Forest also seemed interested and both will drop by my school."
