It's been an up and down year already for Plainfield high and their premier player, Daniel Davis. After losing to Union to start the year, Kearney, their opponent slated for the second week of the season forfeited. So, after the "bye" week, they faced "Eastside" in which Davis had a huge impact, recording 10 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 1 ½ sacks, 1 forced fumble and a fumble recovery as they routed Eastside 34-0.
While Davis and his team are trying to build off of that game for the rest of the year, the recruiting attention has been as consistent as always. Davis reported that coaches from Rutgers stopped by the school to pick up film, while Virginia invited Davis down for the Florida State game. Davis also said that the next time he talks to Nebraska, he'll schedule an official there.
Time-frame on the visits though probably won't be until after the season, the Virginia visit being the one obvious exception, that is if it's an official. "I don't know if it will be an official or not if I go down there." Davis stated. "I want to go, but with it during the season, I don't know yet."
