Dupree Fletcher, 5-11, 180, pg, King HS, Milwaukee, Wi.
Dupree Fletcher will be taking an official visit to Rutgers on October 31st. Tonight I talked to his grandma. She is a former high school coach herself and she gave me the lowdown on Dupree.
"Baylor, Rutgers and Wisconsin Green Bay"
"It is in the Big East for one thing. He liked the location but he likes the school mainly because it is in the Big East. He also likes the academics."
Last Season Honors
"He was First Team All City, First All State, and First Team All Area. He was player of the year in the City Conference, Player of the Year in the Milwaukee Area. He also made the All Tournament team in the state tournament."
Last Season's Statistics
"He had about 15 ppg, 4 or 5 assists and 3 or 4 steals a game and about 4 rebounds a game."
Dupree turned in a super summer leading up to his junior year. Fletcher led his DTA Wisconsin team with the elite 8of the Big Time. He scored over 25 a game in that tournament. Loves to let it fly from downtown and is a real gamer. He'll play until he runs out of gas and then will continue to go. Can really be a fine scoring point guard. Attended 2002 ABCD Camp.
"He is a good floor leader, he sees the floor well. He is a good point guard and he can shoot. He can take over a team when he has to. He understands his job but he can step it up himself if he has to. His defense really stands out. He works hard on defense. He says that good defense makes good offense."
