Camara Decides

Mohamed Camara, a 6-11 center at Riverside (CA), has made a verbal commitment to St. John's.

Camara averaged 8.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks as a freshman last season. He shot 48% from the field while playing 27 minutes a game for the Tigers. Camara reached double digits in rebounds in 20 games, including 8 double-doubles.

The native of Guinea also took official visits this fall to Rutgers (during MidKnight Madness), San Diego State and Arizona State. He enters this season
rated #6 among the nation's JUCO centers by both Lindy's (Van Coleman) and NBADraft.net (Matthew Maurer).

Camara graduated from Louisville (KY) Moore HS, where he averaged 15 points and 15 rebounds as a senior, earning All-State honors.
