Douby Does as Rutgers Defeats Temple

Behind a fantastic shooting effort from freshman guard Quincy Douby Rutgers (3-1) defeated Temple (0-3) at the Rutgers Athletic Center 77-67.

Quincy Douby scored a career high 21 points on 7-11 shooting, while Herve Lamizana chipped in with 15 points on 5-6 shooting to go along with 7 rebounds.

The Scarlet Knights held a significant rebounding advantage, as they outrebounded the Owls 42 to 26 overall and 12-6 on the offensive glass.  Rutgers shot significantly better from the free throw line improving on their most glaring weakness (56% coming into this contest), a dubious trademark of previous Rutgers teams.  Tonight Rutgers shot a very efficient 13-15 from the foul line.

Rutgers next contest is at home against Monmouth University (2-3), Saturday December 6th at 7:30PM (Kids' Night at the RAC).
