Jean Beljour

Jean Beljour (RB/OLB/DB, 6'0"- 210lbs, 4.4 forty) rushed for over 1200 yards, while splitting carries with his backfield mate - Davon Smart (a junior and Division IA prospect). During the weekend of December 12th, he visited Rutgers. Below are some of his views on the visit.

Who did you hang out with?

I hung out with Dan Davis, the Salnardis Brothers, Brian Leonard, Justice Hairston, and a number of the Fla players. He stated that he really bonded a lot with Dan Davis. Especially since this was the second visit with each other, last week they visited UConn together. He when on further to say that the Rutgers trip was even better than expected because of the family atmosphere among the team. Beljour stated that he hoped that Dan and I have the opportunity to be teammates, which expresses the type of bond that he built during their visits.

Who was your host?

Former Hackensack standout, Cedric Brown.

What did you do?

Reviewed the academics, toured the campus, viewed the facilities, and ate a lot.

It has been rumored that you are leaning to Rutgers and even close to verbaling. Is this true?

It is hard to say but it was close. Probably another day of bonding with the guys and I would have committing. But realizing that I still had interest in Syracuse made me hold off my decision.

What were your impressions of the visit?

It was a great school. I kept on reflecting on what Coach Schiano stated to us; forget about the facilities and buildings but think about what type of people you are going to be around. Beljour stated that Rutgers definitely has great people. But I need to see Syracuse before making a decision.

Where will you visit next?

He stated that he would probably visit Wisconsin and Syracuse in January.

Beljour had minor knee surgery this week and will be fine and ready for next year.
