"I went on an official visit
this weekend to West Point.Everything went better than I expected as I toured
West Point, met with the new coaching staff and players, and met with the
academic advisor. Everything I heard about Coach Ross is true and more. He spent
the entire two days with me and is very comitted to bringing Army football back
to what it once was. He is going to make changes at Army and he is looking not
just to be competitive, but to being a great national program once again. He has
been a winner where ever he has gone and is
comitted to bringing Army back to national prominence. I have visited a number of schools over the recruiting process who talked to me about the importance of character, but I felt that the coaching staff at West Point really meant it. Army wants me as a MLB and Coach Ross challenged me to learn it so I will be able to make the proper defensive calls to help us win games.I have been to some of the most beautiful campus's in the country including Notre Dame, Duke, Boston College, and Princeton but I feel West Point is on it's own level. This weekend I walked on the field where the forward pass was invented, sat at the desk that Robert E. Lee once graced, walked the same path that William Tecumseh Sherman took to class, and held three Heisman Trophies. I want to be a part of that history as both a cadet and a football player. To all the Army fans
and past and present cadets, get ready for something special over the next years with Coach Ross and his staff because they are going to get things going again. I am extremely excited about the future of Army football and my future as a West Point cadet. I am honored and proud that they have given me an opportunity to attend West Point and I look forward to serving this great country of ours. Oh, and most important......BEAT NAVY!!!!!!!"
