Lamont Robinson  (LB/FB, 6'2"-225lbs, 4.65) from Salem High School in Salem, New Jersey is one of the best LBs in the state of New Jersey. Last season, he registered 90 tackles 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions, and 1 blocked field goal. On the college level, he will probably play middle or inside LB. But he has the ability to play OLB.

Currently, Robinson has scholarship offers from Rutgers and Boston College. He has received interest from Virginia, Michigan, UCLA, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse.

He states that has no favorites and everyone is even. However, he lists the following schools as his top 5.

- Due to the number of good players; they have developed a great atmosphere in practice. Even if you are not playing, you have the opportunity to get better.
- He likes the warm weather

- They have won four bowl games in a row
- One of the first schools to offer him
- Has graduated a high percentage of players
- He is impressed with them both academically and athletically

What are the three biggest factors in your decision to attend a school?

Coaching staff and the Head Coach – he would like a coach with a lot of fire and a lot of energy. But he should also be a player's coach that can relate to the players

Playing time – he does not want to redshirt. He feels that he learns best when he is playing not watching. He would like to be a contributor as a freshman

Tradition - He is looking for a team an established team or one that is close to being an established winner. Rutgers or Boston College is examples of teams that are building that he would not mind being a part of.

What are your feelings on Rutgers?

It would depend on how they do this season. He lives only 1 hour and twenty minutes away. They were the first school to offer. He likes the facilities and Coach Schiano. Schiano seems like a coach that he would like to play for. He really likes the coaching staff and described them as personable. If they win more games, they can move into his top 5

What other sports do you play and what were some of your best performances?

Plays basketball – power forward and center - averages 18 points and 12 rebounds. As a sophomore, he ran track – 100m (best 11.5)

What will you major in?

He would like to major in broadcasting and become a sports commentator.

What camps will you attend?

He will be attending camps at Michigan, Iowa, LSU, and Miami.

What unofficial visits will you take?

He is thinking about attending Michigan's Spring game.

What did you think of the Rutgers Junior Day?

It was really nice. He met a lot of players that he went to camp with. They impressed him a lot and it was well put together. He left very impressed.

Who will assist you in making your decision?

His uncles. grandfather, his head coach and God.

Would you commit early or will you take all 5 visits before making a decision?

He plans on taking all five of his visits before making a decision.
