Mike Schmeding

A lot of college recruiters believe in bloodlines. For those that do share this belief, they will have to love Mike Schmeding (6'8" – 290lbs 5.1 forty) from St. Mary's High School in Rutherford, New Jersey. Schmeding's father played for Arizona State, his grandfather and uncle played for Notre Dame, and his other two uncles played for Boston College. His Uncle, Phil Sheridan, was a captain on the 1965 squad and was later drafted by the NFL.

Last season, Mike Schmeding was named all-league and help Jeffery Jones amass over 2,000 yards rushing.  He bench presses 330lbs and has a 13-3 record in his second year of wrestling. He has attracted the attention of Notre Dame, Boston College, Virginia, West Virginia, Rutgers, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State, Syracuse, Northwestern, Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Duke.
