Kevin, an imposing offensive tackle at 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds is beginning to draw serious interest from numerous schools, amongst them: Boston College, Syracuse, Michigan State, North Carolina, Rutgers, Virginia and Virginia Tech. He has received one offer to date from the University of North Carolina. Kevin's Dad is a school principal.
We caught up with Kevin to see how the recruiting process was going:
-How many offers do you
Although I am receiving interest from a number of schools, I have received one offer so far from the University of North Carolina.
-Who are your favorites?
I really have no favorites. I have visited, Boston College, Michigan State, North Carolina, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia. I went to Syracuse for junior day and really liked the atmosphere. I have also been to Boston College and North Carolina and came away impressed with their facilities.
-What are the three biggest
factors in your decision to attend a school?
My three biggest factors in order of importance are: education, quality of the football program and staying on the east coast.
-What are your feelings
I am impressed with the job that Rutgers has done in turning its program around.
-What camps will you
I plan on attending 2 or 3 camps, although I haven't decided yet which ones.
-What unofficial visits
will you take?
I haven't yet decided although, Rutgers will probably be one of them.
-Who will assist you
in making your decision?
My Dad and high school coach will help in making a final decision.
-Would you commit early or will you take all 5 visits before making a decision?
No, I plan on taking all five visits and deciding around National Letter of Intent day.
