As Greg Schiano continues to scour the state for talent, Chris Quaye is the latest in linebacker prospects offered by Rutgers. A three year starter at both fullback and linebacker, Chris ran for 822 yards with 4 touchdowns and 21 pass receptions as a junior. At linebacker, Chris had 118 tackles with 5 forced fumbles. Chris is a first-team all conference selection and Courier Post Player of the Week.
We caught up with Chris to discuss his offer from Rutgers and what this talented player foresees in the future:
Which side of the ball do you plan on playing in college?
"I plan on playing linebacker."
How many offers do you have?
Who are your 3 favorites to date?
Penn State ---"They are linebacker U."
Rutgers -------"They are close to home, have great coaches and are an up and coming program."
Maryland-------"I took an unofficial visit and was very impressed. I also thought the coaches were very straightforward and honest."
What are the 3 biggest factors in your decision to attend a school?
-Level of Competition
What are your feelings on Rutgers?
"I am very impressed with the coaches and I feel with Coach Schiano, they will continue to improve." "I have yet to visit the campus, so I am looking forward to seeing the facilities."
Who will assist you in making your decision?
"My high school coach and parents."
What camps do you plan on attending this Summer?
Rutgers, Penn State and possibly Maryland."
