Malcolm Jenkins - Many after Top NJ Corner

A skilled corner is invaluable to any teams success and one of the hardest positions on the field to fill. Blessed with speed and solid coverage skills, Malcolm Jenkins has found himself in high demand by a number of schools.

Fresh from attending camps at Rutgers and Ohio State, this highly sought after cornerback is beginning to narrow down where he will be spending the next four years.

Malcolm Jenkins, a 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back has received offers from numerous schools, amongst them Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Ohio State and Indiana.

"My top three schools are Virginia Tech, Rutgers and Ohio State. I camped at Ohio State and learned a lot from the coaches and just got back from camp at Rutgers." Jenkins added that he was clocked at 4.45 in the 40-yard dash at Ohio State.

When asked about his impressions of Rutgers, Jenkins had this to say: "I believe Rutgers is going to accomplish big things in the next two years and I feel I can contribute to that success." Jenkins, who is being recruited by Coach Susan, stated that he spent most of his time at the Rutgers camp with Coach Schiano.

Jenkins, who believes that a corner has to be aggressive and "take it to the receiver" hopes to employ what he has learned this summer to improve his coverage skills this fall. He will also run track in the spring.

As Jenkins narrows down his choices, he is clear about what he is looking for in a school. "It is most important to me that the coaching style is something I feel comfortable with. I am also looking to play early and campus life is important to me as well."

Jenkins plans on taking an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech, but hopes to make a choice between his top three colleges before school begins in September.
