Bynum, Zoubek Meet Up With Hansbrough

It was supposed to be the most anticipated game of the day.

In what was supposed to be the battle of big men, it was a small sized player that stole the show here at the Showcase Tournament in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. While Tyler Hansbrough grinded it out inside the paint, guard Landon Shipley scored 26 points to lead the St. Louis Eagles to a 85-73 victory over the New Jersey All-Stars.

Hansbrough, who earned every bit of his 17 points, was greeted rudely on his first shot attempt tonight when Zoubek swatted it away. Considered one of the top players in the 2005 class, Tyler managed just four points at the half. His team though managed just fine without his offensive production as the Eagles held a 37-36 lead.

Bynum, who struggled at the foul line (three of 13), scored 13 points while Zoubek added nine points. Rutgers' recruits Anthony Farmer and Jaron Griffin had 12 and 11 points respectively.

Shippley hit four three-pointers to give St. Louis a 59-47 lead after three quarters. The All Stars could only get as close as five points before the Eagles struck back to cushion their advantage.

Hansbrough had just four baskets, including one three-pointer. Each step he made to the basket, he was met by two or three New Jersey defenders. Each of these teams have one more pool game remaining. They will play their final pool game tomorrow before the playoffs begin.
