Neil Lewis talks about his Rutgers experience

Running Back <b>Neil Lewis</b> (5-9, 185, 4.4) from Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn was at Piscataway on the Rutgers campus this past weekend. Neil took some time to talk about his Rutgers experience.

Running Back Neil Lewis (5-9, 185, 4.4) Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, NY recently picked up an offer from Rutgers University. Syracuse, Penn State, and Indiana have also been showing a lot of interest. On Thursday Neil took an unofficial visit to Rutgers. Lewis took the time to tell us how his trip went, and how it may have impacted his recruiting.

Last fall Lewis ran for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns, he was named 1st Team All-City, and 1st Team All-Borough. Lewis has a 3.0 GPA and scored 940 on the SAT.

BL: What all did your unofficial visit consist of?
NL: I got a tour of the facilities, the weightroom, conference rooms, academic center, and I got to meet the coaches.

BL: What was your opinion of Rutgers?
NL: It's a great school, with a nice family environment.

BL: Did you get to meet Coach Schiano?
NL Yes, he was real cool.

BL: On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate the trip?
NL: It was a 9 ½, it would've been a 10 but they didn't feed me.

BL: Where did the visit put Rutgers at as far as your favorites go?
NL: They're definitely up near the top.

BL: What was the most impressive part of the visit?
NL: I liked the academic center with the computers and stuff. It really stresses the importance of academics with football.

BL: Could we be seeing a Scarlet Knight commitment soon?
NL: I've got to get a little more familiar with them, and look at some other schools first.
