Chris Chancellor Profile
Chris Chancellor, an aggressive man-to man defender, has been on the receiving end of scholarships from a number of BCS schools including, Florida State, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Maryland, Rutgers, Clemson, Syracuse, and Michigan State. He has also received offers from the likes of Southern Illinois, Southern Florida and Louisiana - Lafayette.
Chancellor is a talented multi-sport athlete that competes in track in addition to football. He competes in the 100m, 200m, and participates in the 4x100m relay and long jump at Miami Edison Senior HS.
Receiving as much attention as an athlete of his caliber does can be a little hectic. However, Chancellor is taking it all in stride and preparing for his senior season. "Everything is going alright. I'm just getting ready for my senior season."
Long rumored to be leaning toward UM and Florida State, Chancellor may have thrown a bit of a curve ball to all the pundits out there when he decided to look north for his first official visit. "Yes, I'm going to Rutgers for the Michigan State game on the 4th." Chancellor plans on bringing some of his Miami Edison Senior High teammates along with him for the contest featuring Rutgers and MSU. "I'm coming along with Demerick Chancellor [Chris' brother at Edison], and I'm also going to try to bring one of the top offensive linemen in the state that's on our team, Robin Lindor."
At 5-feet-9 and 160 pounds, Chancellor may not sound as the prototypical cornerback. However, he has a nose for the ball, is able to read receiver's eyes and stick with them through their routes, and is extremely physical, all tools that will make him a success at the next level. And tools that currently make him one of the top corners in the state of Florida.
