Ray Michael, a relatively unknown prospect from Florida is just beginning to attract attention from some major programs.
"Right now, West Virginia and South Carolina are sending the most mail." Michael currently holds no offers, but the talented prospect believes many schools are just waiting for his senior season at Fort Myers HS, before they do tender a scholarship offer.
Still very early in his recruiting process, Michael does indicate a list of favorites, including Miami, Iowa, Nebraska, Iowa State, West Virginia, and Rutgers. He also has a pretty solid idea on where he would like to take three of his official visits: West Virginia, Iowa, and Rutgers.
"I really like the coach that's over there," said Michael, in reference to Rutgers' Defensive Backs Coach Chris Demarest. "I would really like to take a visit there."
Academics and the proper coaching staff, that has him prepared for football and helps make him a better person off the field, are two important characteristics to Michael that he will consider when choosing where to attend college for the next four years.
While he is not ready to indicate where he would prefer to play his college ball, Michael does prefer to get through the process sooner rather than later. "I'd like to know by the first month [of the season] because it's always good to know where you're going. Michael is fully qualified although he did indicate that he plans on re-taking his SAT/ACT exam to improve his current scores.
