As Rutgers looks to rebound from the New Hamphire loss, top recruits are still building their opinions of the Scarlet Knights. The 2004 recruiting class is full of outstanding players and a good season by the Knights might yield great dividends. One of the Scarlet Knights top targets is Jim Dray (TE, 6'5"-230lbs, 4.6 forty) from Bergen Catholic in Ordell, NJ. Dray is still narrowing down his list of favorites. Among his suitors are Boston College, Notre Dame, Stanford, Connecticut, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech. He has already started to schedule visits with his first being Stanford on December 10th.
Although Stanford is his first scheduled official visit, he states that he has no leader. He also states that he is close to scheduling visits with Boston College and Iowa. After scheduling those visits, he will determine where he will take his final two visits.
But, where does Rutgers stand; especially after the loss to New Hampshire? He stated, "well we (Bergen Catholic) suffered a big upset too so, I know how they fell and I'm still considering them (Rutgers)". Although the loss was big, he felt that Rutgers has not loss any ground in their pursue of his services. This is due that his belief that "they still have a good program and are on their way up". However, he is not yet sure if he will take a visit to the school.
