Eyeing Two Big East Schools

At (6-1, 190, 4.6) Jabulani Lovelace doesn't get a lot of publicity nationally that other quarterbacks in the region do, and that's fine by him. As the leader of the Tenafly (NJ) high school team Lovelace is more centered on team goals than personal glory.

"We are having a good season and I don’t want to be a distraction,” said Jabulani Lovelace

Tenafly is (3-2) this year mainly due to the stellar play of Lovelace. The dual-purpose quarterback has thrown for over 800 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions. The fleet footed QB has run for over 700 yards, and 8 touchdowns on the ground.

Lovelace has not been able to take in any college games this season due to his team playing on Saturdays. Several teams have been to Tenafly this season too see Lovelace work his magic in person.

Rutgers and Syracuse came to see me play against Rutherford.”

Lovelace has six offers to date including Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Toledo, and Kent. The six offering schools are also Lovelace’s favorites.

“Right now I’m real interested in Syracuse and Vanderbilt, Rutgers and Wisconsin are not real far behind them.”

What is it that makes Rutgers and Syracuse two of the schools that stand out right now?

Rutgers - "I just have a good feeling about them.  I was a little disappointed that they waited until the season started to offer, but it's a business."

Syracuse- “They have been with me since the beginning, their offense fits my style.”
