Athletes that have the ability to play more than one position are valuable. Rutgers has obtained the commitment from one of the better multi-position players in Florida. At 6'3"-250lbs with a 345lbs bench press and 445lbs squat, Studivant can play DE, DT, TE, or OL.
He selected Rutgers over Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Kansas State, Wake Forest, and Indiana. The opportunity to play either offense or defense, the family atmosphere, and the chance to play early were enough for him to select the Scarlet Knights over the above suitors.
In the Dade/Broward All-Star Game, Studivant played TE and was lined up against Miami commitment Courtney Harris. On the first series, Studivant pancaked him twice and held Harris to one tackle for the game.
Once gets on the Rutgers campus, he plans on majoring in Sports Management with a minor in business. On the football field, he plans on being an All-American and advancing to the NFL.
Studivant's teammate, Thomas Locust, will visit during the weekend of January 28th. Locust is a 6'2"-310lbs OL/DL.
