Rutgers offers south Florida speedster….

When it comes to McArthur High School (Hollywood, FL) there was not much to cheer for this year. That's only if you do not take into consideration the talented athlete Kevin Holloway. The 5-foot-10, 175 pound running back, receiver, and defensive back has game breaking ability. He has run a sub 4.5 40 yard dash at the Rutgers camp last summer and now at the Nike Camp that was held at the University of Miami this past weekend.

This past season Kevin Holloway had two interceptions on defense and led his team in pass break ups. In limited action on offense he had 2 receiving touchdowns. On top of that he was impressive on special teams as well. Kevin returned one punt 80 yards for a touchdown and led his team in return yards. When he lined up for a punt or kick most of the time the opposition would attempt to keep the ball away from him.

With the recent Nike Camp held in south Florida here is what Holloway had to say about his experience, "I loved it. It gave me an indication of where I stood against some of the other top prospects in Florida. It also showed me what I needed to work on this spring and summer." Holloway had one of the best forty times as he ran it in 4.4 seconds. On top of that his vertical jump of 36" was one of the best at the camp.

Like last year, Holloway will also attend camps this summer. One he went to last year was the Rutgers camp held on the campus of the state University of New Jersey. When he spoke with he mentioned his experience at Rutgers last year, "Rutgers was great, I had a very good time up there. The facilities are second to none. I visited LSU and Miami and their facilities where even nicer than those two."

When it comes to college coaches that stand out in Holloway's mind, "I would say two of my favorite coaches are Greg Schiano and Joe Susan. Coach Schiano is real. He talks to you like a man. He is very honest and that is very important to me when it comes to choosing a school to play at. I also would not mind playing for someone like Coach Schiano."

So where will Holloway camp this summer, "I am going back to Rutgers and will also visit Florida State, NC State and Georgia.

Right now, the only team to offer Kevin is Rutgers. Central Florida and North Carolina State are the other two schools that have shown the most interest at this time.
