Blair Bines is 6-foot-0, 225-pound Linebacker that made 1st team All-Long Island as a junior in 2004. Last season he made 65 tackles and scored 6 touchdowns as a fullback as he led his team to the Suffolk County Division 1 finals. He is widely recognized by many to be one of the ten best football players in New York State for this upcoming season.

William Floyd HS (Mastic Beach, NY) Head Football Coach Paul Longo knows Blair Bines is the best football player on Long Island and he has his first offer to prove it.

"Rutgers has offered Blair and North Carolina should be offering real soon. He is also receiving strong interest from Miami, Virginia, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Maryland."

Right now Blair has qualifying issues and Coach Longo thinks that is why he doesn't have more offers at this point.

"Miami has been in here to see him and likes him a lot, Coach Russ at Syracuse and Coach Stoutland at Michigan State think he is one the best linebackers they have seen. I think it's just a matter of him qualifying and the offers will start coming in."

Coach Longo went on to say that Bines and his team plan to camp at Connecticut this summer.
