Scout TV: St. Joe's DB

Anthony Ferla (5-foot-11 and 188-pounds) has received multiple awards and national recognition for his outstanding performance as an underclassman at St. Joseph Regional High School (Montvale, NJ).  The recipient of back-to-back U.S. Army All-American Combine Invitations, an invitee as both a rising Sophomore (2004) and a rising Junior (2005), are perhaps two of the more prestigious honorable mentions.

Ferla's list of suitors currently includes his state school, Rutgers, along with Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Alabama, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Indiana, Virginia, and Boise State.

Ferla is currently lifting 4 days a week at Michael's One on One in Ridgewood.  He also attends speed training sessions twice a week at Chuck Mound's Speed Training in Randolph.  At a recent combine held less than one month ago, at Chuck Mound's, Ferla bested his previous best at the 40 yard dash as he put together a 40-yard sprint timed at 4.46 seconds.

As a junior Ferla carried the ball 55 times for 340 yards, including a pair of touchdowns.  He is expected to be the starting tailback for the St. Joe's Green Knights this upcoming season.  In addition to his primary role as a defensive back, Ferla displays his versatility by playing wide receiver and special teams.

Below, Scout.com brings Ferla to the confines of your very own Windows Media Player with a trio of three highlight tapes.
