McKenzie Mathews: One of NY's Top Prospects

McKenzie Mathews is a 6-foot-3, 240-pound Defensive End that made 2nd team All-State and Honorable Mention All-CNY in 2004. He is widely recognized as one of the top five football players in New York State for this upcoming season.

The offer list continues to grow for Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY) star football player McKenzie Mathews.

"Pittsburgh just offered last week," says Head Football Coach Joe Casamento.

"He also has offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, and Alabama. Ohio State, Michigan, and Miami are also recruiting him very hard and could offer soon."

According to Coach Casamento Rutgers has been one of the schools that have been on Matthews since day one.

"Rutgers was the first school to offer Mackenzie way back in December and that really impressed him. He knows Rutgers has great facilities and that Coach Schiano is really building a program there."

As of now Matthews does not plan on camping anywhere this summer and will wait until after football season to make his college decision.
