Focus '06: Ocean Township OL

While Rutgers has offered the majority of D-1 prospects in their home state, they have not offered one of the top linemen in the "Garden State". "Big Lou" has other options as he has landed an ACC and an SEC offer.

Oakhurst (N.J) Ocean Township offensive lineman Lou Eliades, 6-4 and 283 pounds, has received two early offers thus far.

"I have been offered by Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt," Eliades said.

Eliades has been receiving attention from a bevy of programs including Connecticut, Rutgers, Iowa, Maryland, Boston College, Wisconsin, and Virginia. He has taken unofficial visits to Rutgers and Virginia.

Virginia: "Virginia was nice, the whole campus was very nice."

Rutgers: " Rutgers was nice, but the weight room really stood out to me."

The All-County (Monmouth) selection is currently planning a few more trips in the near future.

"I'm going to Rutgers next weekend, and I'm planning on going to Connecticut real soon," Eliades said.

According to Eliades, the Hokies are his current leader among his five schools of interest.

"I really like Virginia tech, then Rutgers, Connecticut, Maryland, and Wisconsin."

What separates Eliades from other linemen in the Northeast Region?

"I think it's my combination of size, speed, and strength," Eliades said

Eliades is scheduled to participate in the Elite College Combine at the Meadowlands, May 4th.
