Those looks, however, will turn quite serious and may translate into offers after Lindsey's stellar performance at the Elite Combine this past week. One of the fastest prospects in the nation, Lindsey electrified onlookers with his 4.29 40-yard dash and went home with the Fastest Man award, the second such award received by a Don Bosco Prep player for the past two years.
Lindsey, who also timed in at a 4.2 in the shuttle and recorded a 9'8" standing long jump, is currently receiving interest from a number of schools, including Florida State, Virginia, North Carolina, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland and Rutgers.
However, Lindsey, who had previously mentioned a list of favorites, now states:
The previous week Lindsey attended the PSU/Nike Camp. His 4.3-second shuttle, 32-inch vertical leap and 4.35-second forty yard dash, let everyone in attendance know just who to think of when the word speed crosses their mind.
While Lindsey does not yet know what summer camps he will be attending, one can only assume that decision will become increasingly difficult as colleges from across the region are sure to send invitations, encouraging the highly touted and speedy prospect to attend their camp.
For now, Lindsey's focus will remain on his training for summer camps, wherever they may be, and his senior season.
When asked what his thoughts on Don Bosco's chances this upcoming year were, Lindsey put it as succinctly as he could:
"We will be good. We'll be state champs."
