At the recent Elite College Combine in New Jersey, John measured in at an impressive 6-foot-4, 247 pounds. He also ran a 4.8 in the forty yard dash, which is impressive for someone of his size. If he can get his 40 time around a 4.6, John could be a real steal for some college team this year.
Scout.com had the chance to speak with John about the recent Combine that was held in New Jersey. Here is what he had to say about his experience at the combine:
"It was great, the chance to showcase my skills in front of college coaches and others that were there was a thrill. It also gave me the chance to see what I could do against some of the best prospects in the nation. I felt that I more than held my own against some of the other top tight ends."
With a solid performance in New Jersey more schools have started to take notice. Last month Lubischer received his first offer from Duke University. At the time they were one of his leaders. They still are but with the recent offer from Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights have now become one of his co-leaders.
Since John is originally from New Jersey, he says that they will be among his final choices when deciding on a college.

With the spring game fast approaching, John feels he and his team is getting near to where they need to be.
"I feel great. This is a very good football team that I am on this year so the expectations are high around here. We have one heck of a football team and that's what has got me most excited about the upcoming season."
* This spring John transferred from Cardinal Gibbons High School to Boca.
The reason for the change was because he felt Boca High School would give
him a better opportunity to showcase his skills.
