Northwestern HS DB looking at Rutgers

We first introduced Bryan Wright [S/CB - Miami Northwestern HS, Miami FL] to Rutgers fans during our summer coverage of the Rutgers football camp. Standing at 5-foot-11 and 165-pounds, Wright, an outstanding athlete and student, now holds three offers in hand.

Bryan Wright [5-foot-11 and 165 pounds] plays both CB and S from Miami Northwestern HS.  A teammate of Tim Brown's at Miami Northwestern, Wright camped at many of the same places as his Northwestern teammate this past spring and summer.

Wright attended the South Florida, Miami, and Rutgers (in New Jersey) camps this summer.

"At the Miami camp I did really well," stated the rising senior defensive back.  "Nobody really knew about me before the camp but after the camp was over Miami started to recruit me real hard."

Wright played predominantly the safety position last year at Northwestern, recording 5 interceptions to go along with 70 tackles.

At this time, Wright holds 3 offers, from Rutgers, Temple, and Delaware.  After lighting it up at the Rutgers camp, the New Jersey school extended an offer.  Delaware, hoping they had uncovered a gem also offered shortly after the RU camp.  The list of schools currently showing Wright interest includes all of the aforementioned schools that have offered and South Florida, Miami, and Ole Miss

Wright best exemplified his playmaking ability on the offensive side of the ball during this summer's Rutgers camp (in New Jersey).  Having hauled in several acrobatic catches playing WR, Wright displayed his athleticism by reaching for the highest point time and again - and more often than not, his highest point was higher than that of his adversary.

Right now Wright states a favorites list of Miami, Rutgers, and Temple.

Wright, a defensive back, was left impressed by Coach Chris Demarest, the Defensive Backs Coach at Rutgers.

"Coach Demo, he's a real energetic person and he's a caring person.  He's always going to look out for you and make sure you're okay," stated Wright.

Perhaps the most impressive characteristic about the soon to be Senior defensive back is completely unrelated to football.  Wright is not only an excellent athlete but is also an outstanding student that excels in the classroom.  Holding a 4.2 G.P.A. Wright has taken several Advanced Placement courses, including U.S. History and English Literature.

Already fully qualified, Wright states that he intends on taking all of his permitted official visits after his senior football season is complete.
