Update on Southern QB Prospect

B.J. Phillips is a three-star quarterback from Spring Valley High School (S.C). His high school squad is undefeated and was looking for another win this past Friday night. Two schools have called the gunslinger since the contact period began.

B.J. Phillips has not set any official visits, but knows of three schools he is planning to visit.

"I haven't set up any official visits, but I know I would like to visit Kentucky, North Carolina and Vanderbilt," said Phillips.

"I might visit Rutgers. It all depends on what happens the next few weeks (offers). I still have a little bit of interest in Rutgers. It's kind of far away, and I have never visited there before. I may and try to make it up there sometime this year."

When asked of the phone calls received since September 1st Phillips replied, "North Carolina and Vanderbilt have both called a couple of times. Those are the only two schools who have called me."

Spring Valley is off to a good start, and Phillips is extremely happy with the way his team has been performing.

"The season is going well," he said.

"We have won our first two games. The offense is doing good, and the defense is looking good as well. I don't think we have had one dropped pass all year. It's been great. We play Northwestern Friday night. [two days ago]"
