Brown Favors Two

To say that Tim Brown is confident is an understatement. To state that Brown is fast does not do him justice. To say that Brown is a fantastic High School player with the ability to become a star at the next level does pretty much, however, sum it up.

I first saw Tim Brown earlier this summer at Miami-Edison Senior High. Standing idly on the sidelines as warm-ups had ended I recall talking with a friend and full-time scout, about Brown.

My first impression, before a single drill was conducted, before a single pass had been thrown or pass had been caught, was based purely on the young man's physique/stature. It was that day that I recall quite vividly, that I learned a very valuable lesson, thanks to Tim Brown:
Do not judge a football player when he is standing on the sidelines.

Within seconds of Brown's taking the field it was obvious that he was no ordinary 5-foot-8 WR. To say that Brown is simply fast is a gross under-statement.

He is football fast.

When Miami-Northwestern started off the season versus Booker T. Washington in the Kickoff Classic people began to find out just what football fast means in reference to Tim Brown. The stellar WR (not including this past weekend's game) is off to a fast start this season, having scored 3 TDs on the young season.

"I just told the coach to put the ball in my hands," stated Tim Brown in reference to his game-winning score in the second contest of the season.

Currently, Brown holds offers from Rutgers, Louisville, South Florida, Michigan State, Miami of Ohio, Bowling Green, and Western Michigan. Miami has been in contact with Brown but a written offer has not yet been extended.

"Miami is at the top, and then Rutgers," stated Brown.

Brown, along with teammate [CB/S] Bryan Wright will await the end of the season before they begin to take their official visits.

Rutgers, Louisville, Michigan State, South Florida and Ole Miss are all likely trips at this time. Brown stated that he has the chance to visit Miami, his favorite, at any point due to the proximity to his home.

Miami -- They tell me what I want to hear, that I have a chance to come in and play early. But they haven't offered me a scholarship yet.

Rutgers -- The coaches tell me everything I want to hear. Rutgers is my second option.

So, just how fast is Tim Brown? We offer you an inside view of Brown's 40-yard dash at the Rutgers summer camp, where he burned the Rutgers stadium turf.
