Two Visits and Two Leaders for Minemyer

Tight end Jeff Minemyer, from Bishop Carroll High School (Pa.) has his team off to a 3-0 start, but will face a tough undefeated Bishop McCort on Friday. Minemyer has not attended any college games, but he has a visit planned for the second weekend in October.

"I am going to the Rutgers-West Virginia game October 8. I am going to the West Virginia-Louisville game as well. I have not set up any other visits," said Jeff Minemyer.

Minemyer has a top five with two teams sitting out in front.

"My top five are West Virginia, Rutgers, Louisville, Duke and Michigan State," he said. "West Virginia and Rutgers are still my top two teams. They are both pretty much even right now."

"I have received a bunch of phone calls this month. Coach Rich Rodriguez from West Virginia called me on the first day (Sept 1). I have received calls from Rutgers, Louisville, Duke, Syracuse, Michigan State and Illinois as well," Minemyer added.

The two-star prospect talks about his top two schools and their performance for the year.

Rutgers: "They are looking good. Their offense looks really good. They had the lead in the first game against Illinois, but they couldn't hold it. They are showing a lot of improvement. They are throwing to the tight end a lot. That is one thing I really like about Rutgers."

West Virginia: "They have a very tough defense. Their offense is starting to come around. They really need to start using their tight end more. He is out their pretty much as a decoy."

When asked a time-frame for a decision Minemyer replied, "I don't know when I will make a decision. It could be after the season. I am just not sure right now. I want to wait until after the season before I take any official visits, but if I feel like I am ready to commit I may go ahead and take them [official visits]."

Minemyer is happy with his team's success and said, "The season is going really good. We are 3-0. We won our first game 24-6, the second game 47-27, and last week we won 34-19. This week is our biggest game of the year. We are the two best teams in our conference, and we are both undefeated."

"Our offense has been playing very well, and our defense is looking really good. I'm having a good year so far. I have about five catches for 60 or 70 yards, and I scored one two point conversion," Minemyer added.
