Foster Earns BE Honors

Willie Foster's punt return for a touchdown against Pittsburgh shows just how far Rutgers has come in the Special Teams department. Foster's electric bursts have brought him recognition as Special Teams Player of The Week for the second time this season.

Jr. WR Willie Foster has been recognized as Special Teams Player of The Week by the Big East Conference. This marks the second time this season that Foster has received this recognition.

In the Scarlet Knights' conference opening victory versus Pittsburgh, Foster returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown. It was Foster's second touchdown of the season, his first a 93 yard kickoff return against Villanova. Additionally, Foster also added 59 kickoff return yards, giving him 130 total return yards on the season. Foster becomes the first Rutgers player since Ken Smith in 1980 to return a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in the same season.

Fellow Scarlet Knights Fr. DB Courtney Greene and Jr. FB Brian Leonard were named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for their performances against the Panthers.
