"My season is going great," said Brian Callahan. "We are undefeated. I am not sure of any of my stats, but I have been doing great on both sides of the ball."
With Callahan's focus and dedication with his senior season, time has been precious on the weekends.
"I have not taken any visits or been to any games yet," he said. "I am sure I will attend a few games, but I am not sure which ones I will go to."
Callahan is a 6-2, 190 pound safety prospect getting it done on the field, but the recruiting process has been slow as of late.
With Rutgers good season and steady improvement, Callahan has taken notice and said, "Rutgers is having a good year. They have won some games and they have lost some games. They are getting better and better each year."
The recruiting process has its ups and downs, and the recruiting coach plays a vital role and can be the ultimate difference in landing a signature on national signing day. "Coach Joe Rizzo is my recruiting coach," Callahan said of his written scholly recruiter. "I think he is great. I like him a lot. I haven't heard much from anyone at Rutgers in over a month though. I am sure I will take an official visit to Rutgers. I went to their Junior Day."
Callahan is not claiming favorites, and the unknown has been a little frustrating.
"I don't have any favorites right now," Callahan said. "I haven't really looked at any schools yet. Most the schools are recruiting me as an outside linebacker. I am not sure which position Rutgers is recruiting me as."
When asked a time-frame for a decision Callahan replied, "I don't know when I will make a decision. I will try to find the place where I fit in the best. I want to to a good school where I like the campus."
