Matt Hardison informed Scout.com that he has scheduled visits with Rutgers (Dec. 3rd) and Delaware (Dec. 10th). In addition to these schools, he anticipates scheduling visits with Connecticut and Cincinnati for either later in December or early January. He is also waiting to hear from Louisville and Ohio State regarding possible visits.
Although Hardison is starting to schedule visits, he states that he does not really have a favorite among his suitors. However, he did state that Rutgers is recruiting him the hardest among the schools that are interesting in the veratile prospect.
At 6'3" - 240lbs with 4.6 speed in the forty, Hardison has the ability to play a number of position. In high school, Hardison has played DL, LB, TE, H-back, and WR. In college, he might play either DE or TE. Hardison would perfer to play TE and his position coach agrees. Rashod Swinger, a former standout DT for Rutgers and the NFL Arizona Cardinal, coaches Hardison on both sides of the ball. Swinger stated that Hardison could be a dominate TE in college. He further stated that Hardison's speed, size, and hands separate him from other players at his position. Once he could focus on one position, he will blossom into a standout performer.
As far as when Hardison will make a decision, he would like to take all of his visits before making a selection. Therefore, a decision might not happen until the middle of January.
