As the conclusion of the football season approaches, many players have started to schedule visits to schools and move closer towards a determination regarding a school. Some players have made a decision and is just awaiting an official offer.

Currently, Charles Smith holds an offer from Rutgers along with heavy interest from Marshall. But Virginia, his favorite, has contacted him and has scheduled a visit for December 9th. He stated that an offer is highly likely to be made. Virginia has requested his transcript and SAT scores. If Virginia offers, Smith states that he will commit and end his recruitment.

Although Smith primarily plays defensive line, he is being recruited as a offensive lineman. At 6'6"-360lbs a great explosiveness, it is obvious why these schools are interested in Smith.

As far as Smith's high school senior season, he has five sacks and approximately 50 tackles. His team is 10-1 and has advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
