During the week of December 4th, Jesse Cisco became the second tight end to commit to the Rutgers 2006 class. At 6'5"-245lbs, Cisco is very athletic for a man of his size which is proven by his versatility. In high school, he has played OLB, MLB, DE, S, HB, and TE. On defense, he had over 50 tackles . On offense, he ran for 120 yards in two games along with 25 catches for more than 500 yards. He also plays center for his high school's basketball team, where he averages 10 points per game and 12 rebounds.
Cisco states that he likes having the ball in his hands and his strength is catching the ball in traffic.
Due to a basketball game, Cisco only spent 10 hours on the Rutgers campus. As a result, this visit will not be counted as an official visit. Even though the visit was shortened, he still stated that it was "amazing". He liked the facilities, coaches, and the players. Since he was looking for a school with very good academics, the school's academic reputation was a factor and Rutgers was what he was looking for. A big factor was the school's proximity to his home.
After signing day, he plans on going to Rutgers to lift weights and run to prepare for his freshmen year.
