Catching up with Emanuel Cook

Emanuel Cook, from Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.), took an official visit to Rutgers this past weekend, and the three-star linebacker is back in the Sunshine state with a favorite school.

"I would have to say Rutgers is my favorite," said Emanuel Cook.

"I really enjoyed my visit up there this past weekend. I thought the team and the coaches were real cool."

"I still plan to take my final two visits to N.C. State (1/13) and South Carolina (1/20) before I make a decision.  I probably won't make my decision until signing day," Cook added.

"We rode the train to New York, we went to some parties and checked out the facilities," Cook continued.

"I thought the weight room was really nice. The team room was pretty cool. They had a lot of different types of games, and they had playstations. That was tight."

"I really liked talking to the educational advisor.  She was trying to help me find the best field which best suits me. I have been really thinking about going into sports medicine."

One of the main reasons for Cook's high interest in the Scarlet Knights is due to: "Coach [Greg] Schiano wants me to come play mike linebacker," he said.

"I really like that position. Their defense is revolved around the middle linebacker. I would be the one who calls all the plays. Coach Schiano would give me the chance to be the leader on the defense."

"When I visit N.C. State and South Carolina I will look for a place with a good environment, a good team chemistry and a good coaching staff," Cook said.
