PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers men placed third and the women finished seventh in the standings for the 2001-2002 BIG EAST Conference Commissioner's Trophy.
This marked the Rutgers men's fourth consecutive third-place finish, which is the best mark during the Scarlet Knights' seven-year BIG EAST membership. RU's men were paced by the BIG EAST Championships finishes of the swimming and diving team (second, 13 points) and the outdoor track and field team (fourth, 11 points).
