The New York Post is reporting that Matt Lovecchio, who recently stated that he was transferring out of Notre Dame, is considering the Scarlet Knights.
Sources told The Post that Rutgers is high on the list of schools at which LoVecchio is looking. The Scarlet Knights, who play at Notre Dame this season, are considered a program on the rise under coach Greg Schiano.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Cortez Davis, a 6-7, 185-pound forward from the Laurinburg Institute in Laurinburg, NC has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Rutgers University for head coach Gary Waters, it was announced Thursday.
Davis, who hails from Washington, D.C., is rated as a top-75 recruit in the nation by several recruiting sources. This past season, he averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds per game in helping to lead Laurinburg, one of the top prep school programs in the nation, to a 16-4 record. He tallied a season-high 48 points and pulled down 20 rebounds in one game vs. Hargrave Military Academy. Davis played scholastically at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, MD before graduating from Bridgton Academy (ME) in 2001.
