Things have started to heat up for Jack Corcoran. After running for 925 yards
and scoring 29 TDs along with being named second team All-State and Atlantic
City player of the year, he attracted the attention of numerous Division 1A
schools. At the end of December, he seemingly ended his recruitment. with his
commitment to his state university - Rutgers. However, he decided to take one
more visit. This past weekend, Corcoran visited Penn State.
So after visiting the Big Ten Champions, what is the status of Corcoran's commitment? He stated that " I am still committed to Rutgers and I am standing firm on the commiment". However, he did state"I just got back from the visit and I need to discuss the visit with my parents". He went on to say that "things might change but I doubt it".
On his Penn State visit, he was hosted by another South New Jersey Product Dennis Landolt. The two had a good time during the visit. Corcoran got the opportunity to tour the campus along with meet with the players and coaches. Corcoran rated the visit an "8" out of "10"..
Both Penn State and Rutgers are recruiting him as a fullback. Corcoran mentioned that he liked how Rutgers utilizes Brian Leonard in their offense. While Penn State does not provide the same opportunities from the position. This could be a decision point for Corcoran as he sits down with his parents.
Penn State is not the only school contacting Corcoran. Virginia has also entered the picture. The ACC school has asked Corcoran to take an official visit. However, Corcoran states that he does not intend on taking any additional visits.
