Davis Has 1 More Left

Eddie Davis, a defensive back out of Freedom High School in Tampa, FL, was the only prospect visiting this past week with a Rutgers offer, other than the already-committed players. StateofRutgers.com caught up with Davis to see where he stands after visiting the New Jersey based school

At 6-feet and 170-pounds, Eddie Davis (Freedom HS, Tampa, FL) has now completed two official trips, with the latest being to Rutgers.

Davis, who holds scholarship offers from South Florida, South Carolina, Michigan State and Bowling Green, had tripped to his hometown school USF earlier this month. At the time, Davis expected to be taking a visit to South Carolina next. Instead, Rutgers came into the picture with an official visit invite and a scholarship offer.

"It's been a real good visit. Right now, I really like the place. But I'm going to see some other places first and then I'm going to decide," stated Davis shortly after his visit to Rutgers.

What other places does Davis have in mind?

"I'm going to have to decide on MSU (Michigan State) or North Carolina State or South Carolina. I'll be visiting one of those schools, but I don't know which one yet," said Davis.

With two officials down, Davis has an idea of what he wants in a school.

"I'm looking for a good program, one where I can feel comfortable at and one where the football is very good."

Davis states he has no favorites at this point and will not tip his hand until his final official next week.

Regarding his latest trip, what did Davis enjoy most?

"The facilities were really nice. The players were really cool and we were just hanging out and having some fun. One thing I didn;t know about Rutgers is that they had so many Florida players. That's important to me because I know I've got some people here that I can relate to."

SOR.com will keep in touch with Davis to see where he decides on tripping next week and what his eventual final decision will be.
