Rutgers and Seton Hall do battle

Rutgers (13-8, 3-5 BIG EAST) will look to move up in the Conference standings as they travel up the NJ Turnpike to face rival Seton Hall (13-6, 4-3 BIG EAST). Tipoff at the Meadowlands is set for noon and the game will be shown live on MSG Network.

Rutgers and Seton Hall are separated by only one game in the Conference Standings, making today's clash between the in-state rivals of pivotal importance to both teams.

While Rutgers defeated Seton Hall in the first meeting, 82-78, on Jan. 7 at the RAC, Rutgers has only swept the Pirates one time (2000-2001) since becoming a BIG EAST member in 1995.

Despite a career-high 41-point outing from junior guard Quincy Douby earlier this week, Rutgers fell in their last game, a road contest at Syracuse.

Seton Hall comes into this contest on fire, sporting a four game winning streak including impressive road wins over one of the ACC's marquee squads, NC State, and then No. 25 Syracuse.

Below are the pre-game notes as released by the Rutgers University Sports Information Department.
