Rutgers visits Notre Dame

Starving for a win of any kind, Rutgers (13-9, 3-6 BIG EAST) is set to do battle against Notre Dame (10-10, 1-8 BIG EAST) Wednesday evening with the tipoff slated for 7:30 p.m.

Notre Dame's Joyce Center will serve as the road venue tonight as the Scarlet Knights travel to Notre Dame for a match that will be televised on ESPN Classic and is set for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff this evening.

Rutgers and Notre Dame last met in the opening round of the 2005 Big East tournament where the Scarlet Knights posted a 72-65 upset victory.

Rutgers will be without freshman forward JR Inman, the top shot-blocker among BIG EAST freshmen who was injured in a 6-point loss at Seton Hall this past weekend. The Scarlet Knights will also be without the services of junior forward jumping-jack Adrian Hill who is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

Rutgers leads the all-time series versus Notre Dame by a 22-19 margin.
