The state of Pennsylvania looks to have another bumper crop of Divison 1A prospects this year. Among the large number of prospects in the Keystone state is Daryl Robinson, a cover CB. Robinson has attracted some heavy attention from Ball State, Michigan State, Purdue, Rutgers, Florida State, Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois.
Two weeks ago, he attended his first Junior Day. The school was Rutgers and the school left a good impression on Robinson. He liked the school's facilities and developed a good relationship with the coaching staff. During his visit, he had an opportunity to attend a Rutgers basketball game. The fans and the atmosphere also impressed the standout CB. Robinson loved the fans. He also liked how Brian Leonard pointed out the recruits at the game as potentially being the best class to come to Rutgers.
The Junior Day visit was not Robinson's first visit to the Rutgers campus. Last football season, he attended the last regular season game of the year against Cincinnati. He loved the atmosphere and the behavior of the fans. Robinson stated that ""I like Rutgers a lot, more than any other school that is recruiting me right now".
Robinson will next visit Virginia's Junior Day and plans other visits to the schools that are interested in him.
Although he is still awaiting his first offer, it is only a matter of time before the first school provides him with a written offer.
In order to allow his mother to see him play, Robinson would like to stay close to home. Therefore, he states that he has a preference for schools in the Big East conference. If so, Robinson would not be alone. Two of his friends, John Maddox and Steve Slaton, will play or plays for West Virginia.
Robinson would like to make an early decision. Therefore, the first school to offer might be in a good position to land his services. Scout.com will keep you up to update his recruitment.
