In regards to Rutgers, Lansford seems genuinely excited about the Scarlet Knights.
"I was able to attend their Junior Day and meet all the coaches. I love
the campus and facilities. I know several of their players. Coach Flood is recruiting
me and he is a New York guy. He basically keeps it real, is honest, and tells
me that the best kids and the ones willing to work the hardest are the ones
that will play. I really like his approach"
Lansford recognizes that coming out of Brooklyn makes it a bit more difficult to gain recognition, but this kid has just blown-up. "There are a lot of good football players in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, not enough emphasis is spent recruiting and evaluating NYC for football. I look forward to showing recruiters my abilities and will be attending some camps and combines, such as the Rivals, Nike, Elite, and the one down at Rutgers". The one down at Rutgers so happens to be the April 23rd, Scout.com All-American Combine. Lansford has complete faith in his work-ethic and god-given talents that he expects to shine amongst the top WRs in the Northeast.
In the meantime, Lansford will continue to work hard in academics, the weight
room, and in track where he is a sprinter in events such as the 55M dash.
