NJ RB Prince Young looking to impress in 2006

After an injury plagued junior year, Prince Young is planning on a big year in 2006.

It is important for any good team to have a solid running game. Therefore, it is necessary to recruit good RBs with the ability "to take it to the house". Prince Young is among the many solid RBs in the state of New Jersey. Due to injury, Young only played in 5 games. However, he was still able to amass 724 yards and 10 touchdowns. Offense is not only where he stands out, he is also a solid defender. Although he saw limited action due to injury, he registered two sacks, 2 INTs, and over 30 tackles. His abilities have caught the attention of Rutgers, Florida State, Virginia, Michigan State, Maryland, and Miami.

Prince Young has the following to say about his favorites:

  • Michigan State - "that it is a good school and plus I am a fan of the school"
  • Rutgers - "that it is home and that they have not had a player fail or drop out"
  • Maryland - "that it is a big school and I would fit right in...and how they push their players"
  • Miami - "they call me baby cilton around here.and they have a good school progam"

Young would like to make a decision before the start of the season. Therefore, he will be attending a number of camps and attempting to impress college recruiters at combines. One of the combines that he will attend is the Scout All-American Combine at Rutgers.
