Cappie Pondexter: WBNS All-American and POY

It's been a stellar final collegiate season for Senior Guard Cappie Pondexter who was recently named Women's Basketball News Service's Player of The Year.

One of our functions is [Joe Smith serves as the director of the Women's Basketball News Service] produce annual preseason and postseason awards and our selection panel has just completed its work. All selections are based upon performance in the regular season, which includes conference tournaments, but does not include the NCAA or WNIT. We have also always required a player must have participated in at least 75% of her team's games.
